Moving to Amelia Island: A Journey of Discovery, Transformation. and Evolution
In 2020, amidst the global pandemic, we embarked on a journey to Amelia Island, a hidden gem in Northern Florida. Our visit revealed an island of immense natural beauty, with dog-friendly beaches that welcomed our furry companion with open arms. The serene environment, coupled with the island’s charm, captivated us and planted the seed for a future move.
Fast forward to today, Amelia Island is not just a vacation spot but our beloved home. The decision to relocate was influenced by the island’s tranquil atmosphere and thriving business community. The dog-friendly beaches, where leashed dogs can enjoy the sand and surf, were a significant factor in our decision(lol). The natural beauty of Amelia Island, with its lush landscapes and scenic views, provided the perfect backdrop for our new chapter.
Amelia Island Tech’s founder Bill Cartwright’s transition from corporate life to founding Amelia Island Tech is a story of evolution. After a successful career spanning over 25 years in corporate IT, Bill left the corporate world through job redundancy changes and took a personal sabbatical to focus on the elder care of a parent. This period allowed him to reflect on his professional journey and envision a new path. His extensive experience in handling corporate acquisition IT integrations, as well as building global IT infrastructure platforms that supported users internationally, laid the foundation for his next venture.
In 2024, Bill founded Amelia Island Tech, a company dedicated to providing innovative IT consulting, servics, and cybersecurity solutions. His expertise and seasoned leadership have been instrumental in shaping the company’s vision and success. Amelia Island Tech offers program-based services that ensure businesses can focus on growth while their IT & cybersecurity needs are expertly managed.
Our move to Amelia Island has been a transformative experience. The island’s welcoming environment, combined with Bill’s professional transition, has created a perfect blend of personal fulfillment and professional achievement.
